Kisspeptin
What it’s used for
Kisspeptin-10 (KP-10) is a fragment of kisspeptin, the signal that switches on the body's reproductive hormones. People use it for hormone support, fertility and libido. Small human studies show it raises LH and testosterone in men, but whether that improves fertility or symptoms is unknown; KP-54 is a different fragment.
- LH & testosterone boost Small human studies Raised LH, FSH and testosterone in small studies of healthy men; women tested in the follicular phase showed no rise.
- Fertility support Community reports Researched for low sex hormones, missed periods and IVF egg triggering; much of that work used KP-54.
- Libido & desire Community reports Used for libido; human studies looked at brain responses and arousal, not routine treatment.
- Metabolism Lab & animal research Animal research links it to energy use and glucose control.

Side effects & safety
Side effects
- Repeated dosing may blunt the hormone response (desensitization)

What regulators say
- The FDA flags limited safety data and possible immune reactions and impurities for compounded kisspeptin-10.
Why most peptides aren’t FDA-approved What’s really in “research use only” vials
Avoid or check first if
- Pregnant or breastfeeding — safety is unknown
- Heart disease — needs medical review first
In sport
Banned for male athletes. Kisspeptin and drugs that mimic it have been named in S2.2.1 since 2024, a section that applies only to male athletes.

How to mix 5 steps with bacteriostatic water · vial check
How to mix
- 1 Wipe both tops Wash your hands, then swab the rubber tops of the peptide vial and the water vial with alcohol. Let them dry.
- 2 Draw the water Use bacteriostatic (BAC) water — sterile water with a preservative, sold for mixing peptides . With a new sterile syringe, draw the amount you entered in the calculator. A 1 mL syringe filled twice is 2 mL.
- 3 Run it down the wall Push the needle into the peptide vial at an angle and let the liquid trickle down the glass, not onto the powder.
- 4 Swirl, don’t shake Gently swirl or roll the vial until the liquid is completely clear. Give it a few minutes if needed.
- 5 Label the vial Write the date and what you mixed (for example 5 mg + 2 mL) on the vial.
This is general practice. If your product came with its own diluent or instructions, follow those. Not sure what to buy? See the supplies checklist .

Good signs
- White, fluffy powder
- Clear solution after mixing
Can be normal
- Slight compaction
Don’t use if
- Discoloration or yellowing
- Cloudy after mixing
Injecting under the skin Where, rotating sites, which syringe
- Where: belly (at least 2 in / 5 cm from the navel), front of the thigh, or back of the upper arm.
- Rotate sites each time and skip bruised, scarred or sore skin.
- Syringe: most people use a U-100 insulin syringe with a short, thin needle (29–31 gauge, 8 mm or shorter).
- How: wipe with alcohol and let it dry, pinch the skin, go in at 45–90°, push slowly. Use each syringe once.
General practice for under-the-skin injections, not specific to Kisspeptin.

Combining it with others
AI assessment Based on how each compound works, not on studies of the combination. How we assess
Use caution 1
- HCG Both push your own testosterone up. Together they can overshoot, so check levels.
Can be combined 7
- TRT Acts upstream, on the brain’s signal to the testes. Combining with TRT is not well studied.

What the research says
Few human studies
- The 2011 human studies had 4–6 people per group and measured hormone levels, not fertility or symptoms.
- KP-10 and KP-54 are different; much of the fertility research used KP-54.
- Results in healthy volunteers may not apply to people with hormone disorders.
- How often it can be used safely, and its long-term and pregnancy safety, are unknown.
- Community dosing summaries mix kisspeptin fragments, so a KP-10-specific schedule is unclear.
What studies found
- A measurable LH response in small male cohorts In six healthy men, 1 μg/kg intravenously increased mean LH from 4.1 to 12.4 IU/L at 30 minutes. Four men receiving a prolonged infusion had higher LH and testosterone; these were hormone endpoints.
- Responses differ by reproductive context A separate study with four or five people per group found hormone responses in men, but no gonadotropin rise in women during the follicular phase at the studied doses/routes.
- New human KP-10 infusion study In healthy men, intermittent subcutaneous KP-10 infusion sustained LH and FSH stimulation for 12 days. Continuous infusion did not sustain the same gonadotropin response, showing that delivery pattern matters.
