Amounts & concentration
Understand the relationship between mg, mL, and mg/mL.
Concentration calculator
Use an amount and a final volume, or choose your own target concentration.
Final solution volume is not automatically the amount of liquid added. This arithmetic does not establish a suitable solvent, stability, compatibility, container capacity, or a personal-use protocol.
Units and other product forms
1 mg = 1,000 mcg. mL measures volume. mg/mL measures concentration. There is no generic conversion from IU to mg.
For a blend, each identified component needs its own mass and calculation. A liquid product has an existing concentration and total volume; this tool does not provide dilution instructions.
Do not multiply an already quantified amount by purity again. A chromatographic purity percentage is not the fraction of all powder by weight.
